Queridas amigas:

Tengo la solución a todos vuestros problemas jajajaja. ¡¿Qué bonito suena, verdad?! =) Lo cierto es que no tengo la solución a todos vuestros problemas, pero sí que tengo un maravilloso y colorido calendario menstrual de este año que he hecho con toda mi ilusión y amor feminista =).

El año pasado mi hermana me regaló una agenda de la asociación Mujeres de Negro de Sevilla, denominada “Juntas”, que apoya las Relaciones entre Mujeres como Política Alternativa de Paz (¿Tengo o no tengo una hermana guay?).Pues bien, descubrí que esta agenda, a parte de tener fotos y frases muy interesantes, tenía al final del todo un calendario menstrual. Entonces me puse a pensar en cómo hasta las agendas pueden ejercer una violencia patriarcal ya que nunca tuve una entre mis manos que me ofreciera un calendario de este tipo. ¿A caso no tenemos todas las mujeres la menstruación?

Este año, mi madre me ha regalado una agenda de Mafalda, que de por sí es un personaje muy feminista y crítico en muchos aspectos y tampoco trae un calendario menstrual. Lo que desde luego no falta es un calendario mundial de todas las fiestas, una conversión de libras y kilogramos, de millas y kilómetros, pero un calendario menstrual no.

Así que “si no me lo dan pues yo me lo invento”, me he hecho mi propio calendario al que le he añadido el calendario lunar y de paso averiguar con qué me alineo yo más si con la luna llena o la nueva. Además he ido un paso más allá, y he decidido que ahora que estamos a principio de año es el mejor momento para compartir este calendario con todas vosotras. Espero que os guste y que le déis uso.

I bring you the solutions for all your problems. Wouldn’t it be nice to start a post like that? Oh well, I don’t have all the solutions, but I have a wonderful, colourful menstrual calendar that I’ve made with all my feministic love. =)

Last year, my sister gave me a day planner from a Spanish Feminist Association called Women in black from Sevilla (Mujeres de negro de Sevilla), which had so many interesting quotes, pictures and, of course, a menstrual calendar. Thanks to that day planner, I realized that I never had a regular agenda which included a menstrual calendar, how patriarchal and chauvinist does that sound these days! Don’t we have menstruation every month?

This year, my mom gave me a Mafalda day planner. Malfada is a comic of a very special, socially critical and feministic little girl. I totally recommend you to read some of her comic. This new agenda has a world holiday calendar, tells you how to convert kilograms into pounds and other cool stuff, but not a menstrual calendar.

So, instead of just continuing to complain about the lack of attention given to my (our) menstruation, I made the decision of making my own calendar. The good thing about making my own, is that I can do it anyway I want to, and in this one I added the lunar cycle to check the relation my menstruation has with it. And… What’s the best part?! That I will share it with you (for free, of course) in this blog, because I made it in English too! =) Enjoy it!
